David Borsari continues to serve on the Advisory Committee for VIP Mentors. This program recruits attorneys to be guides, friends, and role models for parolees and youth offenders. VIP Mentors has been serving the state of California for over 35 years and offers, in addition to the benefits to parolees, a public service to the citizens of California by enhancing public safety and providing significant cost savings to the taxpayer. VIP has routinely diminished the rate of recidivism for those parolees who participate. Historically, 75% of parolees involved in VIP do not repeat offend while engaged in the program.
